Covid-19 Closure

In response to the global pandemic, Covid-19, the Advanced Output Center is closed. Please review the Make Ready page for the latest updates from SAIC.

Starting September 2nd, we will have staff available for online consultations via Zoom but will not be open for laser cutting or other services until September 17th while we train our staff on all new procedures on operations. When we open September 17th, we will be open Monday to Friday only with no weekend access. Monday-Thursday we’ll open at 8:30am and close at 9pm. Friday we will operate 8:30am to 4pm. We will also be closing from 12pm to 1pm every day so staff can take a lunch break.

There will be no lab tours in person when operations resume. All tours will be online through video or Google tours. All laser cutting or 3D scanner appointments will be made online only. Tool checkout will need to be made with reservations only online. Tutorials for these processes will be released soon.

Any equipment currently checked out will be due back when we reopen. If any late fines are accrued, they will be waived upon return of said resources.

During the closure, all of our online resources will still be available for use. You can still get certified for equipment by visiting us on Canvas or follow the links to the certifications from their respective pages. AOC staff will also be working remotely during this time and are still available by emailing advancedoutput@saic.edu.
