The School of the Art Institute of Chicago is pleased to share the 2018 Design Show, featuring graduate work from students in the departments of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Designed Objects, Design for Emerging Technologies, and Fashion, Body, and Garment.

The Design Show is the culminating presentation of these graduate-degree candidates, and provides the opportunity for new and ambitious work to be presented to the public. This year, 54 degree candidates have worked with their lead department faculty and a curatorial team led by Curator Arnold Kemp, including three Graduate Curatorial Assistants, to envision the exhibition. Curator Arnold Kemp is the Dean of Graduate Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Arnold has worked in collaboration with Graduate Curatorial Assistants Alden Burke (MA Art History, Theory and Criticism, 2018), Xavier Robles (MFA Photography, 2019), and Kate Sherman (MA Art Education, 2018).

The exhibition is overseen by the Department of Exhibitions and Exhibition Studies, with Steven Plaxco, Director of Exhibitions Operations, and Michael Hall, Exhibition Manager, in collaboration with Site Managers and student crew.
