Jaclyn Mednicov was born and raised just outside of Chicago, IL. She studied painting and sculpture at the University of Kansas, where she received her BFA. Jaclyn also attended Parsons School of Design in New York for a drawing program, and the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, for a semester. After graduating in the fall of 1999, Jaclyn moved from Kansas to Los Angeles, where she continued her art practice at a studio in Santa Monica. She resided there for two years before transplanting herself to New York. Jaclyn has exhibited in numerous national galleries and has attended residencies at Vermont Studio Center and the Ragdale Foundation. Jaclyn’s work has been published in Studio Visit Magazine and New American Paintings. She received her MA in Studio Arts from Eastern Illinois University in 2012 and she will receive her MFA in 2016 from SAIC.
