Rachel Blomstrom is an interdisciplinary artist with a concentration in writing. Her works appear in “Flash 101: Surviving the Fiction Apocalypse” and “Houston and Nomadic Voices.” Originally from Houston, she served five years in the Navy and deployed with two destroyers out of Pearl Harbor, HI. She received her BA in Creative Writing from the University of Houston and is currently an MFAW candidate at the School at the Art Institute in Chicago. She performed weekly improv in Houston at Station Theater, and has found a performance home with Hi/typO and BYOT in Chicago. A selection of her paintings were shown in Italy at an International art school and gallery.
