Casey Larkin Mazer Carsel is a New Zealand-born, Jewish writer and artist. In both sculptural and textual forms, her practice is grounded in an obsession with the frailty of how narratives are constructed. Often with a hearty dose of dark humour, she navigates this notion through topics such as grief, communal storytelling, diasporic identity, and culturally specific jokes. She is currently undertaking her MFA in Writing at School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).
