Replacements, Sculpture, ceramic, terra sigillata, tempra, and wood. 2020
Recently I have been focusing on adoption, both in my personal life as well as in my academic and artistic practices. Throughout this journey I have learned a lot about my own experience as well as the numerous differing experiences of other adoptees. Something that has become an undeniable point of interest for adoptees and researchers alike is the relationship between child and parent, both biological and adopted. This piece is intended to speak on the relationship between adopted parents and children, the differences between them, and the undeniably strong bond that is created.
