Courtesy of the artist.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Conversations at the Edge begins its Spring 2013 season on Valentine&#8217;s Day! \u00a0We&#8217;ll be celebrating with a program of short, geographically-sweeping films by <a href=\"http:\/\/fernsilva.com\/\">Fern Silva<\/a>, named one of the \u201ctop 25 avant-garde filmmakers for the 21st century\u201d in\u00a0<em>Film Comment <\/em>magazine.<\/p>\n<p>Additional highlights will include appearances by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/karenyasinsky.com\/\">Karen Yasinsky <\/a>(2\/21), <a href=\"http:\/\/darkofritz.net\/\">Darko Fritz<\/a> (2\/28), <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hannes_Sch%C3%BCpbach\">Hannes Sch\u00fcpbach <\/a>(4\/4), <a href=\"http:\/\/rosabarba.com\/\">Rosa Barba <\/a>(4\/11), and <a href=\"http:\/\/ericfleischauer.com\/\">Eric Fleischauer<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonlazarus.com\/\">Jason Lazarus<\/a> with the world premiere of their 2013 film <a href=\"http:\/\/twohundredfiftysixcolors.com\/\">twohundredfiftysixcolors<\/a> (4\/18). \u00a0We&#8217;ll also take a new look at the work of pioneering Chicago video artist <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Phil_Morton\">Phil Morton<\/a> through the eyes of contemporary new media artists (REMIX IT RIGHT, 3\/7), catch up on work featured at the Toronto International Film Festival&#8217;s celebrated Wavelengths sidebar with curator <a href=\"http:\/\/tiff.net\/thefestival\/filmprogramming\/programmers\/andrea\">Andr\u00e9a Picard <\/a>(WAVELENGTHS, 3\/21), and explore some of the visionary short films produced by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinema.ucla.edu\/la-rebellion\/story-la-rebellion\">L.A. Rebellion<\/a> with scholar Jacqueline Stewart (L.A.
