Courtesy of the artist.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><em><strong>ABOUT<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Since the early 1970s, artist Wendy Clarke\u2019s visionary body of work has used the video camera as a revelatory tool for communion and self-reflection.\u00a0She\u00a0best known for\u00a0the\u00a0<em>Love Tapes<\/em>\u00a0(1977\u20132011), an unprecedented, decades-long series in which she recorded more than 2,500 people around the globe reflecting on their feelings about love. She began her career as part of Tee Pee Video Space Troupe (1969\u201375), conceived by her mother, the experimental filmmaker Shirley Clarke. Clarke\u2019s numerous large-scale interactive video installations, projects, and tapes have been exhibited in institutions and events throughout the world, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Walker Arts Center, Minneapolis; Kennedy Center, Washington, DC; and the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid; among many others.
