Commissioners, distributors and exhibitors of animation were interested in films that explored new forms and suddenly I could earn a living from making experimental films.\u201d This retrospective of his work includes his seminal first animation <em>His Comedy<\/em> (1994), the racy <em>Busby Berkeley\u2019s Tribute to Mae West<\/em> (2002), structure imitating story in <em>Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde<\/em> (2001), a slice of Tokyo in <em>Shinjuku Samurai <\/em>(2004), and the mescaline dream-like vision of <em>While Darwin Sleeps<\/em> (2004).
