EXHIBIT CURATION AND DESIGN<\/p>\n
Odile Compagnon<\/a><\/p>\n Odile Compagnon is an architect based in Chicago. Compagnon joined the faculty at SAIC in 1998, after teaching at Parsons Paris and the School of Architecture at UIC. Compagnon earned her degree at the Unit\u00e9 P\u00e9dagogique d\u2019Architecture n\u00b03 in 1982, also attending the University of Illinois at Chicago (1980\u201381) and the Istituto Universitario di Venezia in Italy as a research scholar (1982). After working with Chemetov and Huidobro in Paris, Compagnon established her own company, DMC Architectes, which undertook public commissions and created master plans for several cities. Compagnon worked with Studio Gang\/O\u2019Donnell (Chicago) from 1997 until 2000. Her work has been shown at exhibits including Speculative Chicago<\/i>, Diversecity Riba<\/i> (Chicago), and the Parachute Pavilion<\/i> exhibition (New York). It is Compagnon\u2019s sixth time curating the annual thesis design exhibition.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n CURATORIAL ASSISTANT<\/p>\n Allison Crowley<\/p>\n Allison Crowley is a Master of Architecture candidate at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Before coming to SAIC, Allison served a term in the Peace Corps in Zambia, where she was an extension agent in agroforestry, AIDS prevention, and education. Allison\u2019s background working in a firm producing glass coating components lent her a proclivity for building and design. Her interest in the field of Architecture stems directly from this experience, and she aims at a practice that will pair \u00a0design feasibility \u00a0with subtle stewardship of \u00a0everyday life\u2019s patterns and cycles. Her academic background is in Creative Writing and Drawing, passions she actively pursues, currently working on two book projects: one a graphic memoir and the other a narrative in miniatures.
