This work will consist of a screen which will rotate pictures of different spaces within Chicago that have unique lighting. In front of the screen will be a circuit board on a pedestal with different types of sensors and lightbulbs. The light bulbs will light accordingly to match the lighting in the picture behind. The lights will be picked up by sensors which will determine what the light “sounds” like. There will be a pair of headphones where the viewer can hear the sound of the light in each space showed on the screen behind. The light in the room is the data which is being interpreted into sound. The audience will have a new way to perceive space and light - as sound.
