Final Presentation Board: Erupture
The starting point of this project was from a pink cassette tape that I received from an artist presentation focusing on expressing political activism and bringing different groups of people together through art. I tried to express the liveliness of this type of art with the swirls on top of the physical model as well as by ripping out the tape strips from the insides of the cassette tape, demonstrating feelings of both growth and explosiveness. These abstract parts were then transformed into a semi-interior playground with the tape strips acting as a shelter and the swirls turned into a single, circular slide slicing through the cassette tape.
