Concept | This is a tribute collection for my late grandmother, Evelyn. She was my fashion hero and the matriarch of our family. In telling the story of the Phoenix this collection brings Evelyn back to life through fashion while symbolizing the strength, light and fire in every woman.
Bio | Carolyn Ni received her first B.A. in Advertising at the University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign. After some time working in the markets at the Chicago Board of Trade she decided to follow her dreams of fashion. She attended her first year of design school at IFA the International Fashion Academy in Shanghai, China to which she transferred to SAIC in the fall of 2015. Carrie’s love of rich textiles and bold color combinations cultivate the drama in her elegant designs.
