Yan Yang is a painter, installation artist, and fashion designer from China. As a second-year fashion graduate student in SAIC.
She has been committed to research sustainable fashion and unisex fashion. And how to use art to carry out human self-healing.
In her latest work, RECORDING, she combines painting with fashion to become a new installation of artwork. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the outside world and the people in the world. Everyone feels lost, sad, irritable, emotionally out of control, and even depressed in a small room. Yan Yang used painting as a medium to record her mood every day in isolation for more than 100 days. Finally, these paintings are transformed into clothing and combined into new installation artworks.
She hopes that no matter what happens in the outside world, when we are faced with darkness, everyone can find a way to heal themselves.
