Chia-Yu is a junior fashion design student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. During her time at SAIC, she has gained advanced skills in researching, garment designing, and be skilled in fabric embellishment, pattern making, garment cutting, and sewing technology. As a designer, she enjoys the process of developing her work. She believes every step of the design process will eventually turn into a beautiful design. Her works are mostly inspired by nature, geometric shapes, and 3D printing techniques. She also likes to play with different colors in her design. From her design, you can feel her passion for making her work unique.
Fashion design is her passion, and she is continuing to explore and improve herself in this field and looking forward to seeing more of her creative work in the future.
