My name is Ellington Bramwell and I’m a multimedia artist and designer from Chicago. The works completed during my graduate program operate as self-portraits and vessels exploring the journey of shedding, (re)connection, and rising. While working across video, natural fibers, plaster, metal, lumber and soil, I hope these works become sites for reflection for others as they were for me. Fueling these ideas are inner reflections to how I negotiate (in)visibility, escapism, vulnerability, violence, body movement and spectatorship. My practice today is a cumulative pursuit towards personal visibility explored through visual imagery, installation and sculpture.
