Personal statement inspired by Anya Katharine and her work titled, “I’ve been told that like raccoons, foxes are
capable of practicing the art of shapeshifting.”
I’ve been told that like raccoons, foxes are capable of practicing the art of shapeshifting
I saw twice
The same fox cross my path
On opposite occasions that were yet still
The same
In the city centre of London
She found me
Subjectively
Incidentally
Broken beer bottles
On curbsides
Are blades of
Green glass
And if taken and scattered in a patch of grass
Deceptively so
You must watch more carefully than you can
Where to place bare feet
Regardless
She took the most of me with her when she left
