Hi I’m Jiayi Huang. I’m currently a junior student studying fashion at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. This collection is about me, it’s about me fighting with myself during covid when I was isolated from the community. When I was trying to fight those problems, I see there’s light ahead of me.

During the time that I spent just with myself, I sense contradiction between what I wish to happen and what actually happened. I sense there is a tension between loose and tight, comfort and discomfort, laziness and discipline. With all those feelings, I see them as a monster. A monster that lives inside of me and soaking my energy away. So I named the project “What’s eating me inside”. I hope you guys enjoy the collection and Thank you very much.
