Julie Baker is a multimedia artist who mainly works in sculpture, drawing, costume design, and puppet animation. Her story driven artwork is made with a variety of materials such as wire, plaster, clay, fiber-based materials, as well as two dimensional materials like acrylic paint and ink on paper. Her artwork tends to be somewhat dark but lighthearted both visually and in the context of the narrative. Julie has always loved the outdoors, animals, video games, music, and movies, so these have all been big inspirations to her work.
