Hi! I am Shelby Hubbard, a graduating junior in the Fashion Design Core Program. My work pulls inspiration directly from women’s bodies. I am constantly working to push the boundaries between what body type is “ideal” and ones that are seen as “unflattering.” Throughout my work I enjoy playing with of the juxtaposition of exposing parts of the body while enclosing others. Creating illusions through seam work and adding additives to garments challenges me to reimagine the female body through clothing.
