The name of this project is called I’m in love with my shadow. This story is about a man who fell in love with his shadow because he was too lonely. The shadow is destined to be untouchable and this love is destined to be tragic. I used blue tanning as a dyeing method, using the shadow to reflect a large random pattern on the fabric in the sunlight, using blue to show this love of tragedy.

This project focuses on the interaction between the shadow and its lover. I used the overlapping method to show that even though the two are overlapping, the shadow and the person cannot touch each other, and this tragic love is sad from the beginning. At the same time, I projected my own shadow onto the fabric and traced its specific outline, and then sewed boning around the outline, letting it play freely with this random silhouette.
