A collection of designs based on Arizona cacti and their purpose in nature as a reservoir. Inspired by a previous sculpture of mine also titled “Homesick”, a neon pink Saguaro cactus. As a child, I romanticized my time spent roaming around the deserts behind my home. As an adult, I recognize that I don’t enjoy the state as a whole and instead appreciate its nature in my memory. I view my years there with rose-colored glasses and enjoy it from afar. Most of my art has become an outlet to combine the environment I wished I had and the one I remember.
