It’s my belief that clothes are meant to protect the form and alter a person’s physical appearance, which in turn affects one’s mental and the way in which they interact with the world. Clothes and our subconscious skin have the ability to affect one another. Through the processes of using scrap material and digital manipulation I may reimagine, deconstruct and recreate form. Actively trying to produce the least amount of material waste as possible by using mostly scrap material in turn leads to unique design and the contortion of a pre-existing object. Photo manipulation allows me the further explore this idea and archive what is physically impossible. Studying fashion construction I and II, shoe design and fibers, I’ve started to design a language based on what a form may be and how it may interact within the physical and digital world, as well as alter our realities.
