I enamored by fashion history and the painstaking techniques found in the construction of these pieces. When I work, I enjoy the process of developing ideas as well as the process of figuring out how to construct the work. I find joy in seeking out and learning new ways to create. I view my art making process as if it is a complex machine to be built, and constructing the thing is puzzling together its parts. While the finished piece may be nice to look at, I far more enjoy knowing that there are these many layers and process of its creation hidden beneath the final layer of fabric and embellishments.
