Kaiyuan Xu is the first-year graduate student from China. As a fashion student, I intend to become an aspiring artist fashion designer in the future who specializes in cutting-edge and staunchly anti-commercial clothes that serve to stir emotion that viewer as counter culture.It is not about shunning the mass trend but about finding something that is truly distinct through my body’s work. During this semester, My work is mainly resolving from the theme of ‘Poison Garden’ which is a ‘quixotic’ collection. Through experiment with three-dimensional patterns and different weigh of fabrics, I want to create something unique and transform the body shape beyond the cylinder. At the end of the day, I want to embody a futuristic and Dadaism Garden’s series though my interpretation of dressing and posturing.
