FERRELL GARRAMONE

Master of Fine Arts in Studio, Sculpture

Ferrell’s conceptual approach to art making looks a lot like a famous scene from Brian De Palma’s 1976 classic thriller, Carrie.

An otherwise traditional approach to art making humorously but begrudgingly critiques antiquated American regional culture in a digital age. Ferrell utilizes painting, photography, object and performance to pull apart language and focus on art as an everyday routine.

Manipulating language and representing the cute, the funny and the grotesque are accidental but inevitable outcomes of this situation and the artist is very interested in film, entertaining, how folks treat each other and what it means for everyone to have a nice time.

Thank You.
