My work is a pause, claiming space in time, to disseminate ideas through propositional architecture — scaled containers for the body that challenge ways of seeing and gendered conditions. Process-based and site-responsive, the things I make seek to understand the implications of individual nature on collective culture. I’m curious how subjectivity, as a mental construction, occupies space. My interpretation of the atmospheric layers of space around the body applies the theory of proxemics — analyzing the use of space as an indicator of culture — to determine where I end and you begin.
