The process of Indiscernible Elements was about finding new connections between fiction and non-fiction relating to content and the digital and physical world. Korynn’s time at SAIC has been about the connection between art and architecture within representation. The drawings are collages of the concrete ruins (Site), digital painting, drawing and physical material (all different variations of Calcium). Staying With The Trouble by Donna Haraway has been monumental in Korynn’s last few years of her architectural studies. Haraway’s influential writing has guided her to make new connections and has put words to how she views potential in the world and within architecture. An email from Donna Haraway:
… like you I find architecture and building and designing to be absolutely fundamental to staying with the trouble, to partial healing, to building with each other less violent and more flourishing multi-species worlds. The built environment is part of what has kept us from each other; it will be part of what invites us to more generative lives. Making kin otherwise depends on structures for living and dying, and much of that engages architecture in both narrow and broad connotations.

The practice of architecture needs to practice with living and dying. Architecture can be used as a way to build a less violent and a more flourishing multispecies world (Staying With The Trouble, Donna Haraway). Architects can no longer draw, design and think from only a human perspective. Creating stories, drawings and designs through alternative perspectives can expose new relationships and ideas to a changed world.
