Low-Residency Master of Fine Arts

These pieces were originally intended for a white cube exhibition space. The COVID-19 pandemic has either liberated or restricted the work, depending on one’s point of view. The canvas-wrapped, primed platform was designed as a stage from which to view the linen wall work. Over the course of the exhibition, gallery-goers footprints were to be “recorded”, altering the platform’s appearance. Instead it remains unused. Both portrait and platform are 6 ft square, a dimension that has taken on new cultural significance. For more information about the portrait and the artist’s practice, please consult the accompanying pdf.
