Christopher Bagon
Christopher completed his B.S. at the University of California, San Diego in 2020, studying Nanoengineering with a focus in Material Science Engineering. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research in both 2-dimensional semiconductor synthesis and development of ceramic nano-materials for extreme temperature environments. He is currently a Master of Design, Designed Objects candidate at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Christopher unites engineering and art in order to discover new ways of thinking and making. Similarly, his process uses scientific methods to investigate and solve design problems. He attests that material science pervades every aspect of our lives and influences the world in both widespread and individual contexts. As such, his work aims to bring people closer to the ‘materiality’ of the natural world and believes in dismantling the boundaries between STEM vs non-STEM fields.
