I am an experimental video and sound artist from central California that works primarily with toy SD video cameras and electronic music. The basis of majority of my films are from my own adversarial life experiences, and frequent vivid dreams. The SD cameras that I use for filming are made for kids, so they have a very low resolution. This gives a texture to the video that is very pixelated, blurry, and hazy – especially in low light settings, which I find nostalgic as well as dream-like; without needing to add in a visual effect in post. Filmmakers that inspire me include Stan Brakhage and Maya Deren, while in music I enjoy the works of the techno group Drexciya and the death-industrial, noise artist Pharmakon.
