Jamie Lynn Lewin


Master of Fine Arts in Studio, Fiber and Material Studies

Jamie Lynn Lewin is an artist whose stitched works are co-created through the practices of channeling and meditation. She received her BA in Art and Psychology from Smith College in 2015. After completing her undergraduate degree, Lewin worked in the social services industry while maintaining her studio practice. She is now an MFA candidate and Teaching Assistant in the Fiber and Material Studies Department at School of the Art Institute of Chicago, graduating in May 2022. Her most recent solo exhibition was in 2021 at the Harrison Center for the Arts. Lewin has exhibited in Indiana, Ohio, Massachusetts, and Illinois. Lewin’s digital needlepoint design, Meditation III, was selected as one of three winning designs for the Carnegie Fabric and Chicago Textile Week 2021 design call. The design was translated into a woven upholstery fabric to be installed at Epiphany Center for the Arts.
