Retired Chicago native and proud recipient of a quality education from Chicago area schools. I attended and graduated Lindblom Technical HS. My undergraduate work was done at Mundelein College / Loyola University, and my master’s degree in education was earned at Saint Xavier College. 2009 National Board Certified teacher; Early Childhood Specialist. My undergraduate studies were Fine Art and English Communications and I spent the beginning of my adult career as a graphic artist and designer in and around the Chicago area. Education became my “second but not less than” profession. As a teacher, I have always maintained a creative approach to educating young children and incorporated art and project-based learning into all subject matter I was responsible for teaching. As a student I believe learning never ends. Current candidate of LRMFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago majoring in Studio Arts.
