Master of Design in Fashion, Body and Garment

From Inner Mongolia, China, I am deeply influenced by the traditional culture, especially Confucianism and Taoism. And after the 5 years of professional study of pharmacy and some practical working experiences, I found that mental health is more important than physical health, and art is a good medicine to cure the spirit. So I quit my job and start over again by pursuing a master’s degree in art with a specialty of fashion design at Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology (BIFT), the best fashion design college in China. Researching a lot of ethnic cultures in BIFT, in order to learn about more diverse cultures and thoughts, I am studying at School of the Art Institute of Chicago to explore the relationship between human body, garment and art. My project is how to express the feelings of social anxiety disorder through fashion design.
