Akshaj Kilewala is an artist from India currently practicing in Chicago. With an undergraduate degree in Visual Communication from National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh, India and a background in graphics and space design, he is continuing his MFA in Performance from the School of the Art Institute Chicago. His practice is an act of contradiction, of completeness and nothingness, a work that happens, with and without, between words and beyond language, dwelling and anchored in the Now. Of no value to a structured and divided mind, like watching a child’s play, which is the closest to the unbound happiness. Taking shape in mediums of poetic writing, performance, digital and traditional painting.
