Alejandra M Rivero


Low-Residency Master of Fine Arts Degree

Alejandra Rivero is a multidisciplinary artist and graphic designer from Los Angeles. Her artistic practice includes mixed-media paintings, installations, and murals characterized by abstract forms and the use of found objects and recyclable and organic materials. Currently an MFA candidate at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she also earned her BFA, Alejandra’s background in graphic design has driven her exploration of diverse mediums, with a particular focus on materiality.
Alejandra notably participated in the all-women muralist event at the Up Town Art Festival, created an installation at the Logan Square Art Festival, and was the proud recipient of the 2023 Nouveau Contest Award for the Modales Wine Label Art. Her contributions extend to the group exhibition project’ Día de Los Muertos’ installation at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Long Beach California.
