Ann Wachter
Ann Wachter enjoys writing historical narratives. Since embarking on her studies with The Chicago School of The Art Institute, she’s expanded her practice to include visual and performative art mediums. She is currently working on speculative forms in collage. Snippets of news ads and articles, celebrity silhouettes on canvas and raster graphics work together with her writings to draw attention to issues regarding racial disparity.
Ann completed graduate work in the University of Iowa Writer’s program and is an avid participant in the University of Iowa Summer Writer’s Workshop. She completed her undergraduate degree in English with John Carroll University. She is a devoted wife of thirty-six years and a proud mother of two young adults.
