Bocheng Zhang is an experimental nonfiction filmmaker and a performer based in Chicago. With a strong interest in sensory ethnography, he creates works to battle against forgetfulness, salvage replaced memories, and reawaken sensory experiences of individual and national trauma.

On a stage, a man and a woman are rehearsing a play that tells a story about their future. Just as the play reaches its climax, the woman suddenly interrupts. When the rehearsal resumes, the same story changes due to a subtle shift of context.
