Erik Akerman is Tri, and Tri is an illuminating fine artist who brings lights to hearts, and forms their feelings into a physical world to create a healthier relationship with those emotions. Their current works blend the worlds of neon with sculpture, and features cartoony aesthetics placed in reality with a sense of elevated kitsch, and elements of the human touch interacting with a technology aided practice. Growing up in Columbus, Ohio, they went on to receive their BFA from the Columbus College of Art in Design with a focus in Sculpture, Installation, and a minor in creative writing.
