I am Grace Kemp and I am a 2D animator from Indianapolis, Indiana who is based in Chicago. I am a senior getting my bachelors degree and then I’ll be out animating in the world. I love to animate like it’s a dance so I work fairly fast since my only real goal is to make my audience giggle a bit or smile. I live and breath animation and have taken a lot of time to perfect my sound work. Hopefully my bouncy colorful animals make you laugh too.

My senior film thesis “A Catastrophe” is a tale of two brothers. One brother, a pot smoking skater cat, and the other brother, a giant fluffy white sweetheart of a dog who jumps at his own shadow. When one wants to leave home the other won’t be far behind to save him, but who is really is going to need who? Can these silly little animals find their way home, find freedom in Chicago, or will they meet their end on the cold streets? Hopefully love leads them home… or at least to each other in my newest animation “A Catastrophe”.
