Khytul Abyad is an interdisciplinary artist from Kashmir, India. She has a BFA in visual arts from Kashmir University, an MFA in visual arts from Beaconhouse National University in Lahore and is currently completing her MFA in Writing from School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Khytul is currently working on a book of auto fiction/ graphic memoir. Her thematic explorations revolve around the subjects of displacement, memory, identity and community, and her body of work encompasses the mediums of text, image, sound, video, performance, installation, or combinations thereof.
