Lee (she/her) is a Chicago-based artist creating work about infrastructure, societal power dynamics and vulnerable self-reflection rooted in sound and photography practices. She examines mundane objects through the use of a flatbed scanner to create a paper thin recreation of reality. Within her sound practice, Lee focuses on the structure of time by constructing rhythmic pieces using mundane objects and various traditional instruments. As a trans artist, highlighting the mundane and societal infrastructures through time create’s a topological depiction of the walls, laws and product we are constrained to live within and interact with.
