Peicen Jiang

Master of Design in Fashion, Body and Garment

Peicen Jiang, born in 2000, is a Chinese artist based in Chicago. She channeled her exploration of societal pressures onto the canvas of the female form. Jiang’s work is a visceral commentary on the pressures imposed on the female form, manifested in distorted representations.

Spanning installations, sculptures, and garments, Jiang’s versatile practice delves into the interplay between beauty and brutality. Employing textile manipulation techniques on historical garments, she crafts exaggerated silhouettes with visceral textures, blurring the boundaries of fashion and sculpture.
