Randi Shepard is a multi-disciplinary artist based between Chicago and Munich. She received her BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and is currently an MFA candidate at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been exhibited in Chicago, California, Minnesota, Ohio, Texas, Washington, Munich and Moscow. She has worked as a commercial photographer for almost 40 years. Randi’s art practice surrounds issues of care: care for a loved one, self-care, care for others, and care for the earth. She employs everyday objects and activities, her own body, and repurposed “waste” in her work. Her aim is to connect people and foster love, leading to the social and political change we need to give every person and community an equal seat at the table.
