Master of Fine Arts in Studio, Visual Communication Design (Graphic Design)

Shreya attained her Master of Fine Arts in Visual Communication Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2023. She also earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2021 and was awarded the title of an honorary student. Shreya has served as the head of communications for various companies and startups, while leaving a global footprint in the art community with art installations in all corners of the world.

Elixir, 2023

Elixir VR is a virtual reality gaming experience designed specifically for users with stage 1, 2, and 3 Parkinson’s, offering a natural dopamine boost. However, it's not limited to them; anyone seeking to improve mental and physical well-being can enjoy it. Within the game, users can customize their experiences and companions from the comfort of home, in a safe environment without needing extra help. Throughout the game's levels, the focus is on enhancing overall mental well-being, motor functions, and cognitive abilities while completing various tasks and exploring different serene worlds. Elixir stems from my passion for finding solutions to healthcare problems that have resonated with me through design and technology. Elixir draws inspiration from my beloved late grandfather, whom I lost due to Parkinson’s at a time when there was no cure for such a disease. The environments built within the world of Elixir draw inspiration from his memories. Elixir comprises of a research and a brand guideline book for the institution, along with an app-based solution, and the Elixir VR product—an immersive virtual reality experience played in real-time.

A zealous interdisciplinary designer and strategist, Shreya possesses a strong inclination and work experience focused on Branding, including identity system projects incorporating a company’s ethos and mission, Information Mapping for visualizing data, and Publication and Editorial Design. Her work also encompasses Motion Graphics, Typography, Filmmaking & Editing, Rendering & 3D modeling, among other multidisciplinary and experimental art forms. A critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills, she ideates solutions for diverse clients.

Currently, Shreya is working on integrating high-tech solutions for design-based research projects in the healthcare and virtual reality space for her final thesis. Simultaneously, she is involved in building sustainability due diligence using artificial intelligence for finance firms and supply chain systems across borders at Syntegral.
