Shuo Cai is a Chicago-based artist, also a first-generation immigrant and college student. Initially trained as a painter, Shuo seamlessly integrates his painting skills into performance art, particularly exploring themes of metaphysics and the subconscious mind. His creative process is unique, often beginning with meditation or vigorous physical activity, followed by controlled breathing to achieve a heightened state of focus and relaxation. In this state, he allows intuition to guide his movements, using his entire body to create images on canvas.
