Xiao is a designer and artist, born in Beijing, currently pursuing an MFA degree at SAIC, Chicago. Xiao has an educational and practical background in industrial design, and is now exploring different materials and art forms. As an international student from China, she has been thinking and discussing how to present Chinese culture in different cultural contexts. Her works express her understanding of traditional culture and aesthetics through different materials and art forms. Her works include sculptures, jewelry, product design, ceramics, textiles, etc. Two of her personal jewelry works were selected for the 2021 Beijing International Jewelry Art Exhibition.
