Claire Pope’s work explores the notion of ecstatic quietude and the emotion of wonderment found in nature during the Anthropocene Age. She has a background in fine art, curating, art history, horticulture, and agriculture. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Berry College. In 2008, she graduated magna cum laude with a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of Kentucky. Upon graduating from SAIC with an MFA in Studio Art in 2017, she will begin her appointment as Head Art Professor at Lenoir-Rhyne University. She has shown her artwork regionally, nationally, and internationally.
