Artist Statement

Embodied: An art therapist’s personal practice of grief exploration in the body” combines self-portraiture and sculpture to examine the somatic experiences of grief and loss as an emerging art therapist. The portraits combine renderings and pieces from journal entries and poetry into collage as the artist navigates a fragmented process of grief.
