AIC r<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">egular full-time and part-time Museum and Central Administration Employees require special permission. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AIC Special Projects, Seasonal, Special Service Employees, outside contractors and SAIC Alumni cannot checkout resources from the Media Centers. Visiting Artists and Artists in Residence require special permission. Access is connected to tuition so there is no lab fee or rental fee.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Examples of active patrons using the Media Center:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Active degree seeking undergraduate, post baccalaureate and graduate students<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SAIC part-time and full-time faculty teaching in the current or subsequent semester<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lecturers teaching in the current semester<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SAIC r<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">egular full-time and part-time staff<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exchange students and students-at-large taking courses in the current semester<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #695089;\">Reservations<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To checkout equipment from the Media Center you MUST make a reservation via <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/saic.webcheckout.net\/\">Patron Portal<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>To assure that equipment will be available when you need it, we recommend making advance reservations.<\/li>\n<li>Reservations can be made 3 weeks in advance.<\/li>\n<li>Checkouts can be up to 7 days, if you have resources less than 7 days you have the option to renew depending on resource availability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #695089;\">Checkout Process<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Media Center will be pre-assembling your reservation before pickup.\u00a0 Turn around time for any reservation is 1 hour.<\/li>\n<li>Be prepared to show your ArtiCard when you arrive at the Media Center.<\/li>\n<li>Please be prompt when picking up your equipment. It will become available to other users if it has not been picked up 1 hour past your scheduled pickup time.<\/li>\n<li>Allow at least 15 minutes to check out equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Double check to make sure the equipment is in good working order before you leave campus. Report any issues to the Media Center.<\/li>\n<li>Double check your contents of kit to make sure you have the correct batteries and all the accessories.\u00a0 Notify the Media Center if anything is missing.<\/li>\n<li>You are responsible for the equipment until it is returned.\u00a0 Verify the return date and time to avoid late fines.<\/li>\n<li>You must check in with security if you want to leave any school buildings with the equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #695089;\">Care and Safety of Equipment<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep a watchful eye on the equipment at all times. Don&#8217;t leave equipment unattended\u2014EVEN AT SCHOOL.
